my father bought a Nokia n8 sim free from cpw but every time he tries send or reply to a message it says sending failed due to the message centre number being changed to something like 33445 ive tried an update but seems to be problem with phone anyone else had similar problem? |

Google your operator name message centre number and put it

Just ring whichever network your with and ask them for the correct message centre number. you shud find the option in messages menu. select options then settings

get your network to send the message centre number as a txt sim update and store it then it should work ok

i sent it from my networks web site get settings it came as a Txt message and i saved it but like i say some weird number appears after a short while

datum is right, it i was totally puzzled to what it could be until i found out it was the sim in the end

sorry that was on my dads phone, and there was not option to ecen change the center number, that was on n95 8gb and n73, same in both phones. faulty sim

i think its the custome firmware due to it being sim free because i did an update and the same number appeared after turning it on . In message centre
