well as of 2 weeks time im going to give overpriced shtty prepaid mobile broadband the flick and sign up for an internet plan. at the moment, 100 dollars gives me only 6gb of data, if you pay less than 100 dollars, say you put 80 dollars credit in, you dont even get 1gb of data!  |

internet plan on a landline i mean, anyways, i was looking at various networks and one caught my eye, a company here called tpg who are offering 25gb for only 30 bucks a month, but theres a catch: its not broadband, but ADSL2 plus, but says it has speeds of 500kps and above. now i am wondering is adsl something i should avoid (i download vids, programs and want to play pj64 multi online)

and when i say i download stuff, im not that worried about how fast its downloading, just as long as a 100 mb file doesnt take 2 hours to download like it does at the moment

In India i use Aircel edge internet. For month its 100rupees(2 dollar something) for unlimited use. I daily use at average 600mb :)

saif go look up telstra prepaid wireless broadband, its what im using atm, its ridiculously slow, someone did a post about a site that tests your kbps or something, all i know is mine was ridiculously slow. and expensive

to be exact, it was a 96mb demo of sony acid, and it was roughly 2 hours. i do live in a rural area but telstra are supposed to be the best network in aus for rural coverage

adsl2plus is upto 24mbps, broadband is anything over 256kbps, u not have a site like samknows.com? will tell u what companys offer service in ur area, wimax is worth a look it comes thru an ariel rather than foneline

adsl is broadband. When you say rural, how rural are you. If your out in the sticks you night not be able to get broadband unless its sat broadband. Also dont forget the speed of your service comes down to the distance to the exchange and the quality of your line.

my titpical night is 12gigs. and thats because i turn off about 5am so i get about 2 gigs an hour average.
