is cpu usage always at 100prcnt?

svchost is uses to run dll files. what are your laptop specs? what anti virus do you use?

Hlo kaz,Ea its between 90-99.when i use any application svchost drops to 3-5 percent range bt another thng called IDLE SYSTEM PROCESS consumes 99 percent of my cpu.My lappy specs HCL MAKE WITH a1GB RAM,160HDD,INTEL CELERON.Lately i changd my lappys INVERTOR.I was using Eset nod antivirus.nw am using only spybot.

1st get some anti virus on there. 2nd, from what youve told me it sounds fairly normal. if you want to see what running open a command prompt and type in: tasklist/svc that will show what svchost is running. 3rd. let the battery totally run out, fully charge it, use till empty and repeat 2times. it might help, no guarantees.

i wouldnt recommend norton ever lol. avira, avg or avast are popular. run a full anti virus and malware scan once its all installed as well. id unstall ccleaner as well, itll help clear any cr*p from your harddrive.

Use avast professional/internet security or kaspasky. Reduce vga appearance to increase the speed parformance of u r lap.

You should download and use Malwarebytes Anti Malware, and do a scan with your AV.

My friend, the mention of spybot just gvs me that detaste emotion. If u hv tht prob, probably u shld reduce the number of programs tht start up with windows, defragment disks n get a reliable antivurs. Or replace the OS it wl b much easier.
