My Razer Imporator died on me today, been having few issues with it for a few weeks but wasn't expecting it to fully die.. Anyways i need a new Gaming Mouse but don't have a clue on what to get next, been looking at the Mamba 2012 but not very good reviews, I'm thinking about switching from Razer to another brand, So what gaming mice do you guys own or recommend ? |

i have the coolermaster storm sentinel, it's near 2 years old and still going strong. two programmable buttons, dpi switching with an led display to show current dpi, works on any surface and has adjustable weight. it also has user customisable lights capable of almost any colour.

Decided on the TTeSPORTS Theron 5600 DPI Gaming Mouse.. I also decided on a new keyboard as the shift key on my Razer Lycosa started playing up about 4 months ago so ordered the Roccat Isku Illuminated Gaming Keyboard.. Can't get a new Mouse without treating myself to a new keyboard as well =)

I'm still chugging along with my old Logitech MX-1000 wireless laser mouse, though I did have to take apart the charging cradle to give it a good cleaning last year. I guess that is one of the best products Logitech ever made.

Too much lag on wireless, was looking at the Razer Mmamba n poor reviews on the Build and the Battery Life, then looked at Rat 7 and Rat 9 the Tracking is very poor and worse on the wireless version, i think i made the the right chice on the One i chose and the Keyboard just looks so pretty ![]() |

@ nfxcr3w - 14.06.12 - 06:58pm prefer wireless no wires hate it Serious gamers use wired. Too much lag with wireless. Same goes for consoles, if you want a very slight competitive edge, use a wired controller. |

I'll have to agree that a wired infrared mouse is best for games, but my old wireless laser mouse is pretty good for most games that are not high precision first person shooters.

dont bother with the rat 9 chris. its sensor aint that good. the newer version of the 7 is the best they offer... either the contagion or the infection. the contagion although very good does have a grip issue in that when your hands warm up it will slip about in your palm. i had to mod mine with sticky back rubber. the infection has mucgh better grip chariceristics... the biggest problem isnt with the mice design though its build quality. some are perfect but 1 in 5 will ither be faulty or

Roccat Isku Illuminated is style over substance and really is garbage m8, best you send it back... get a mechanical for the ultimate feel and typing tactile feel. you wont be dissapointed and if you can choose the switch as some are liniar but noisy, some clicky and some tactile.. for gaming cherry red or brown are the best choices, red is liniar but requires less force then black to press down while the brown have a tectile bump at the actuation so you dont have to press the key all the way

down resulting in faster typing and if your like me you will get a better responce in fps games because you dont have to bottom out the keys to get em to register. not only that most keyboards including yours will choke when 3-6 keys are pressed. some not all mechanicals have full nkrollover which means every key can be pressed and it will register...

i guarentee that the 1 your getting will stop at 6keys or maybe even b4 that... also the keyboard has a gaming cluster which means it may not choke on the wasd but if you press them shift and say l its likely the l wont register. this is the way the keyboard has been optomized for gaming... full nkrol doesnt suffer from this.. and is the reason you should switch saying as you like quality but have a habbit of buying bells and whistles.

http://www.corporate.qpad.se/modules/news/index.php?storytopic=11 qpad keyboards with selection of cherry keys... http://www.ttesports.com/listKeyboard.aspx thermaltakes mechanical keyboard the 3 at the bottom in the meka range... forget about the 4 its still a dome membrane type like most current gaming keyboards... http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=702catid=23subid=2107 ocuk's range of mechanical keyboards...

1 last thing. mechanical keyboards are supposed to be noisy but in reality you can get them to be even quieter than a typical dome membrane keyboard... pick your switch type.. blues are clicky and tactile so produce the most noise, followed by black which liniar but require more force so make more noise as they bottom out... then theres browns which are quieter again and match say a g11 for noise thet aint clicky but they are tactile so the small bump you fell will make s alight click.

lastly the reds reds are light touch and liniar so are the quietest of all mechanical switches. you can dampen the noise even further by adding O rings under each key resulting in a very quiet and hassle free typing experiance. i know i have filled a page bu really you want to look at em and dont discount em because they had a rep as noisey. they can be silenced if you know what your doing. even if you dont want to spend 100 on a keyboard then the mk 50 is a good choice, and well worth the price
