Do we really need graphics cards this fast for next gen games ![]() |

games will still need to be ported as the amd arcitecture is a fair bit different to the standard apu cpu's as they dont share memory the same way. because the amd apu in the ps4 uses shared gddr5 its memmory though put will be huge which means games can be programmed a different way(easier and more efficent) and its this difference that means games will still have to go through a porting process.

xbxo games will likely need a lot less effort to port but in general your still likely to see some perfomance hit on some games that use more than 4 threads. but if your cpu has hyperthreading or is at least x2 faster than the amd apu then this h*t should be minimal.

yes we do current top end cards are even slow with todays resolutions on ultra like crysis 3 etc ppl with 120hz monitors want 120 fps and ppl with higher resolution will demand more gpu performance. and 4k is not far away either. try to run some newer games with your current card on 4k it will fail ![]() |

there will allways be settings higher than consoles output AA levels higher texture quality etc

ofcourse. PC graphics are vastly superior. Next gen consoles are still 720p capped. Thats pathetic. Even my old laptop has a 1600x900 resolution lol

Next gen games should not need much more power . And 4k is still a good 5 years away from being affordable . |

crysis 3 is not a console port and what do you have against upgrades? faster hardware and overall upgrading in my eyes is great and should evolve even faster ![]() |

Wrong .Crysis 3 is a port with some dx11 feature slapped on top . Yes it looks amazing but it could be optimized a lott better than it was . And im against upgrade for minimal gains ,Been building pc's for over 17 years now and back in the early days you had to upgrade to play some games there was no LOW settings you simply could not play the game and an upgrade ment amazing new graphics ,now days its all about how many fps you can get on a benchmark .

crysis 2 was a port with dx11 features not 3.

benchmarks are just for measurment overall game smoothness is what counts the most the lowest fps dips are the ones that ruin the gameplay for me thats why i upgrade. my last card started to struggle and then i upgraded.

'' That is all fake. It (the image these articles are based on) was made by a user on SemiAccurate; all the r*tarded sites out there just took it and assumed it was something from AMD. ''
