The principle is that a msg is sent as a binary string using photons from one person to another. If it is intercepted the photons show if they have been read. Therefore the sender and recipient can see which photons have been viewed and the undisturbed photons . the un viewed photons give the sender and recipient a code that only they know.. Its in use today |

not really. we are still able to 'see' when we fall asleep. photons are just what deliver the message from the outside world that our mind interprets in the image we see. without photons, there could still be other ways to communicate the message.

one thing is certain quantum computers are the future as silicon will eventually draw to a close. even if we won't see quantum laptops at currys in the near future lol

Yes the age old problem, heat. They are capable of hacking through any security system online with ease, including RSA data security. A traditional computer would attempt to crack codes in sequential order, as opposed to a quantum computer that could target all areas at once. Guess you could cool them the ultimate multi tasking tool
