They can be coded to gather information, data, and respond like wise. But the condition based instructions sets have to be already provided.

I saw on the news the other day that they are or have developed a self controlled frontline war robot! At least with drones there is somebody controlling it,but these new bots identify and shoot targets themselves!!!

microchips have all the intelligence potential of a single cell bacteria. the gene code being the o.s and behavioural instruction. the human brain is billions of cells all connected. now we all have pc's and are connected to the web there are around 4 billion pc's connected together via the web because of this is perfectly feasable that the web will 1 day start thinking. it almost seems sciance fiction but some say it is possible conciousness must emerge as the network of connections grow with

more and more pc's being added every day. the predicted time is sometime around 2045, but could happen sooner or never.
