I upgraded my P4 from xp to windows 7,but now the one side of my screen is scewed??? No matter how I set it,the screen stays scewed on one side, even when opening folders, etc??? I have checked the graphics drivers, etc and all in order??? Could this have to do with the graphics card itself??? |

My dear spngbob. Please upgrade your P4 to, at least a core2duo, A core-i3 or latter will be much better. P4 were very much happy with XP installed on it, , but I am not sure if they were meant to run Win-7, at all.

I actually know of many people who run p4's on win7,hence the reason for asking as I thought it a different problem??? Could the screen need a separate driver, instead of the generic one????

Ive seen this exact same problem a few times before and I'm afraid to say it's never been good news.My previous experiences with anything funky looking on screen would lead me to suggest that a capacitor or resistor has blown on the monitors board itself...

I think you should've gotten Windows 10. You can run it in tablet mode and save a lot of resources.
