Nokia 6101 isn't bad for what it is. Depends what features she wants. Most of the rest are a bit more than a phone.

i'll look into that one thanx jimbro. I've had a look on nokias site dani2xll but theres such a choice! i'd like reccomendations from people who've found their phone to be good. I don't think my mums bothered about camera,wap etc,just an easy to use handset for calls n texting.She wants a fliptop cos the screens on her other phones get scratched even though she always keeps em in a case.

Yeah thats the same as my dad lol he wants a new phone a nokia would be good he just wants something easy and has a colour screen an just wants normal functions nothing like wap or camera or any other thing like that just a basic handset

i always liked my 3100 locokidd,it's wap but no camera or any other features cos that was really easy to use,not fliptop though so my mums not keen

The 6280 is a slider phone, big screen that can be easily scratched.

No. When u slide the phone open, it reveals the keypad, same as a samsung d500. I can't remember the numbers of nokia's flip phones, but think they only do a few so your mum should have an easier choice 2 make.

i see what you mean prb thanx,but i imagine the screen is protected when the keypad is not being used? hopefully i'll narrow it down as i have the job of choosing it for her

3510i basic color handset and can change cases so when its scratch get new case wide range of colors find its a quiet ringer tho im using 7210 at the mo button are small good sound and as other phone or 6610 as 7210 bigger buttons and with camera all ive mentioned have changeable covers just change them when badly scratched

Theres a difference between a slide n a flip phone hun, slide is where the screen is on the outside n the buttons slide down. I cnt remeber the model number but there was a white nokia flip with colour screen, looked nice n basic.
