Hey guys,, I've noticed that Android phone's become slow after a couple of months. Just sluggish in day to day use. Is there any way around this other than formatting? |

it's going to depend on the specific model and Android version it's running... probably worth putting both into google and reading up on it... |

typing xperia slow into the search bar brings up lots of previous searches. I only read one page, but certain versions of ICS seem to be slower than GB. if you can root them you can backup the apps and settings with titanium backup (assuming you don't want to download them all again). that would leave you free to flash better firmware... |

Don't put heavy handed widgets on main screen - I removed one yesterday and it back to smooth running. Widgets that need updating every minute like google plus etc are culprits.

Go to settings under battery see wish app use lots of it usually this will give you what apps are a culprit. Go to settings, data-usage set the limit on any number set the apps that you don't want to run on background by disabling them. Last get an app called Greenify |

Ok first of all, Sony fked up its entire mid-range handsets with Android 4.0/4.1 updates big time..! My XperiaU was the BEST phone i ever owned until Sony fked it up with 4.0 update. They simply didnt/cudnt optimize. Secondly the only solution for ur Xperia phones is loading a custom rom. Thirdly today 95percent of Android phones that ship with Jelly Bean/KitKat (4.1+) do not hv that issue of bcuming sluggish over time. Google has specifically fixed that issue.

I think Google should simply blacklist Sony frm the Android platform. Even their high-end devices bring nothing extraordinary to the table r bullcr*p compared to competing OEMs..

Do not load anything to make it new always.
