apparently the ''verify apps over USB'' option in developer options has always been capable of blocking this quadrooter exploit. so for anyone who's concerned: 1) go to settings / about phone (in some cases you need to then go to software information, and then the more tab) and find BUILD NUMBER. 2) tap rapidly on build number 7 times and you'll get told you're now a developer 3) when you go back to the settings main menu you'll have a new option called DEVELOPER OPTIONS, in here look for VERIFY APPS OVER USB and tick it 4) voila, you're now protected against the quadrooter exploit as long as you don't deactivate developer options... |

that's actually what I originally started writing, but then I decided to check quickly before posting. on my s4 running AOSP 6.0.1 and my m8 it's in developer options. even less hassle for people who have it under security... |

BlackBerry first to release security patch for the priv and the dtek50 addressing all 4 vulnerabilities. They're trying to win over customers with security seems like. |

BlackBerry trade off the idea that their phones are the most secure. guess they have to respond quickly

Why is it just the U.S version of GS7 series? is this only related to Qualcom based devices? although iam unsure if every single phone hes listed is qualcom.

yes it's all recent Qualcomm chips so anybody with an exynos based phone is ok.
