just curious to hear your experience. when I got this phone the battery life was amazing, a day and a half between charges was normal even with really heavy use. now that I've gone from 10, thru 11 to 12, 3/4s of day is the best I'm getting. I'm on Samsung (S20FE 5G) but I've heard A12 messed up battery life for many phones so I thought I'd people I know. |

How long have you had the phone? It might just be a crap battery. My battery is nowhere near as good as it was but I've had mine 3 years, so I couldn't tell you if it's 12's fault |

I've had it since March 21 but updating from the last versions OneUI 3.1 to 4.0 was an overnight difference. I run an FE group on telegram, pretty everybody has noticed for our phones but it goes beyond Samsung. Pixel users have noticed and complained over it. the one guy I know who never bothered to update at all from day 1 says his battery life is still stellar. |

Have my s20 for 2 years now. On OneUI 4.1 currently. Battery life has degraded very little for my suprise. It does have the exynos tho that was bad from the start for battery. This far im not seeing a problem. If i use bluetooth music all day it still has 60 percent by the evening. If i dont listen to music it holds almost 2 days.

that's pretty good compared to some SoT posts I've seen for the Exynos 990. some poor guys are just getting 3 hrs screen on. |

That really is piss poor. I'd thow my phone in the bin if the battery was that bad

You don't expect that on top end devices

the exy 990 is a bad chip, in fact any chip fabbed by Samsung just isn't ever as good as chips fabbed by TSMC even if it's the exact same chip and Samsung has taken over production of it.

Samsung LSI are going through a difficult time for the last few years, the Exynos 7420 days are long gone it seems. Samsung LSI need to take a break for a year or two and figure themselves out, lol! Even with Snapdragon the new Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 fabricated by TSMC seems to be quite a leap from Samsung fabricated Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in terms of efficiency and performance sustainability. |

Wish we had the option to get a snapdragon version. Currently thinking about getting a new phone with a bigger screen but there is nothing to choose from. The s22 are a letdown with no sd card support. I would like to keep using my 128 samsung evo card not to just throw it in a drawer to collect dust. Had it since i got the s8. They also should have atleast bigger memory options that dont add so much to the price. Im too used to samsung its hard to get something else.

@ 3mel - 12.08.22 - 09:57pm that's pretty good compared to some SoT posts I've seen for the Exynos 990. some poor guys are just getting 3 hrs screen on. 3 hrs is bad. Maybe they keep it on full brightness. I always have it half way on all the phones i have had. Only push it up in sunlight. |
