@ tee4mac - 22.09.15 - 05:49pm am just shocked b'cause the Note 3 is one of the most powerful devices around one more cardinal point occurs that EVERYONE should take note of. NEVER PLAY 3D GAMES WHILE CHARGING YOUR PHONE... that's adding heat to heat especially if your phone supports fast charging of any kind. you can do lasting damage to components as well as your battery. my kernel is supposed to have a thermal shut off point but I've never tripped it even when the phone was too hot to hold. I think Sony is better in that regard than Samsung... |

@ 3mel - 22.09.15 - 02:07pm no modern phone battery gets over charged. they have a cut off point where it stops receiving current. if you have a removable battery charge it up until it shows you 100 '/. then switch off your phone and take the battery out for 10 seconds. when you pop it back in and boot up it will often show around 90 '/. as it's designed to charge to that to protect the battery... Wrong, smart batteries need smart chargers or they will over charge. If you have bought a cheap replacement charger for your phone, it is probably not a smart charger. |

Modern lithium ion/polymer chargers (in phones, tablets, and laptops) are very carefully designed to not overcharge, with multiple fallback mechanisms to prevent overcharging. This is because overcharging lithium batteries is very dangerous. So if you have a device made in the past 20 years using lithium batteries, it's not going to overcharge no matter what you do (unless you actually open it up and modify the circuit to disable protection mechanisms).
