I've checked running services (developer options / running services) in my phone 3 or 4 times now, I've always had 3gb of ram free. I've disabled or uninstalled quite a few apps but it was still averaging 3gb before I did. I think I'll be OK with just 6 gigs |

The Mate 40 Pro has the Kurin 9000 and the phone also uses a storage system that makes UFS 3.1 look silly: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/en.gizchina.it/2020/11/huawei-mate-40-pro-memory-speed/amp/ Although Huawei never mentioned it in the launch event.

iOS handles ram more efficiently than android as iam sure you already know. although according to a tech magazine I was reading recently, how iOS actually does it is mystery! perhaps a trade secret even.

This link may shed some light on it though: https://medium.com/flawless-app-stories/ios-memory-management-in-under-6-minutes-3be777f69b7e

To be honest in every day use you wouldnt even notice the difference and thats what counts! especially now the gap in performance is much narrower than it used to be so iam not that fussed about the Exynos Qualcomm arguement anymore. if anyones really bent on speed buy an iPhone cos the A14 beats them all sorted!

If your gaming I can understand why you would want to avoid any Exynos CPU! cos of the overheating which leads to the throttling back of performance, but if not your unlikely to suffer. (I dont game on phones)
