the A3 will be fast when set up right and time taken could become a very sweet sleeper car. the Bmw i would go a 318 and stick a upright e brake lever, a few mods to engine, better coilover shocks, kick in some front camber, tamper with the and make it into a toge drifter

some of the suggestions here. They are very different cars though. 4 door Sedan v 2 door hatch. The Audi seems a bit rarer and more desirable to me. Over here BMW 320's are ten a penny to be fair. So I would go with the audi if those are your options. I like BMWs but because the 320 isn't remotely special audi wins here. I would rather have something a little bit interesting than settle for a 320. 330 yes. 320 no.

320i is sluggish as hell especially if you're not at the coast. I'd take the audi, far more of a punchy engine. Another thing, beamers do not generally age well in terms of interior and sum electronics, so if you do pick the beamer be prepared. Make sure which ever you pick has FSH to!
