It was based VERY loosely on the books, once you were actually ok with that, it wasn't too bad, both the initial run and the three follow-ups, but Dirk's supposed to be a fat guy which Mangan certainly isn't. Oh, and where was the hat?

Pleasure  come to it with no preconceptions and it's quite entertaining; trying to overlay the characters and situations from the books on it will just leave you kinda fractious and irritable.
