@ alvar89 - 19.10.16 - 09:26pm Resolution is the most critical all else is little to cripple performance. If you had to choose which would it be? 4k at 30fps or 1080 at 60+fps? |

@ mcwalnut - 19.10.16 - 05:56pm And yet the graphic settings of these games on console match that of the high preset pc settings in digital foundry analysis over and over again with only a few settings scaled back to medium or low. Power of having one set of hardware to build for instead of hundreds, thousands etc. Take a console over pc any day. Scorpio and Pro only further make pc look even less appealing and as Sony said, that is the objective. No they don't stop being stupid .scorpios hardware will be a good jump though and will do proper 4k not upscaling crap the pro will try |

@ kenb2321 - 20.10.16 - 05:29am If you had to choose which would it be? 4k at 30fps or 1080 at 60+fps? Hard choice but I would play 4k and lower setting to get 60fps . If I wanted 30fps I would play on a console |

Digital foundry reports over and over again; game after game in their faceoff series of console vs pc versions that the console counterparts match that of high settings on PC. Gears of War 4, the most recent faceoff matches high in just about every category with only one or two falling just short somewhere between medium and high. |

Think with logic if you have low to high mix of settings will it be considered high in average? To achieve that all the settings need to be high or medium mixed with very high. Pc presets when you set high overall also sets all high. |

If you go by benchmarkers like df who play around with settings in unrealistic ways then its no wonder you take it seriously as a base. They jamm anti aliasing on with 4k and say a gtx 1080 can maybe do 60fps in bf1. Who in there right mind uses anti aliasing in 4k lol. Without that even a 1070 does 60fps in bf1. Anti aliasing ruins the sharpness even.
