I'm kinda curious as how this will work. Will x1 and ps4 have something similar to steams workshop? Doubt they'll be able to use nexus, as some mods have to have changes to .ini files and how would one manage that on consoles? We've seen Bethesda trying to cash in on the modding community once, will Bethesda try again with MS and Sony? And if that happens, could bethesda crack down on sites like nexus and others for using thier creation kit and uploading thier mods not on the designated site? |

Bit risky letting mods run on consoles, it could open the doors to cracking the whole system and piracy.

Todd Howard stated in an interview that they are aiming for consoles to be able to use any mod, even if it breaks the game on console which is why they implemented a system that creates a backup of the original before the mod is installed.

Skyrim broke on me without mods on ps3....can only imagine how this will play out with Beth's games as they are usually very buggy to begin with, nice thing could be that console users get to install the unofficial patch mods that usually end up fixing way more than Beth's patches. But being able to install any mod  maybe they can but game would be unplayable with 4k texture mods and enbs..
