Sony will always have the right to block people using a modified console from accessing the PSN network. They could lose any right to intentionally hinder any other features of the console though.

sony have exactly the same rights as microsoft when it comes to people using the psn, m.s have already banned 5 million xbox's that were modded, i wouldnt be suprised if sony go the same route for people who mod there console 2...

I think geohot might have problems here if only down to the user agreement. At best he'll get away with it but at worst he will have triggered an avalanche of 360 style bannings. I had hoped it wouldnt get that way but hopefully if it happens the community backlash should only be directed one way, and it shouldnt be sony

Hacked again. Requires a dongle and you have to burn to bluray but the exploit will most likely be used in a firmware soon.
