William Blake ''To See a World...'' (Fragments from ''Auguries of Innocence'') To see a World in a Grain of Sand And a Heaven in a Wild Flower, Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand And Eternity in an hour. A Robin Redbreast in a Cage Puts all Heaven in a Rage. A dove house fill'd with doves and pigeons Shudders Hell thro' all its regions. A Dog starv'd at his Masters Gate Predicts the ruin of the State. A Horse misus'd upon the Road Calls to Heaven for Human blood. Each outcry of the hunted Hare A fiber from the Brain does tear. He who shall train the Horse to War Shall never pass the Polar Bar. The Beggar's Dog and Widow's Cat, Feed them and thou wilt grow fat. The Gnat that sings his Summer song Poison gets from Slander's tongue. The poison of the Snake and Newt Is the sweat of Envy's Foot. A truth that's told with bad intent Beats all the Lies you can invent. It is right it should be so; Man was made for Joy and Woe; And when this we rightly know Thro' the World we safely go. Every Night and every Morn Some to Misery are Born. Every Morn and every Night Some are Born to sweet delight. Some are Born to sweet delight, Some are Born to Endless Night. |

I am part of a light, and it is the music. The Light fills my six senses: I see it, hear, feel, smell, touch and think. Thinking of it means my sixth sense. Particles of Light are written note. A bolt of lightning can be an entire sonata. A thousand balls of lightning is a concert... for this concert I have created a Ball Lightning, which can be heard on the icy peaks of the Himalayas. -Nikola Tesla- |

Robert Louis Stevenson The Vagabond [From Songs of Travel] (To an air to Shubert) Give to me the life I love, Let the lave go by me, Give the jolly heaven above And the byway night me. Bed in the bush with stars to see, Bread I dip in the river -- There's the life for a man like me, There's the life for ever. Let the blow fall soon or late, Let what will be o'er me; Give the face of earth around And the road before me. Wealth I seek not, hope nor love, Nor a friend to know me; All I seek, the heaven above And the road below me. Or let autumn fall on me Where afield I linger, Silencing the bird on tree, Biting the blue finger; White as meal the frosty field -- Warm the fireside haven -- Not to autumn will I yield, Not to winter even! Let the blow fall soon or late, Let what will be o'er me; Give the face of earth around, And the road before me. Wealth I ask not, hope, nor love, Nor a friend to know me. All I ask, the heaven above And the road below me. |

English translation: --All the birds in the treetops-- All the birds in the treetops In the sky, up high, the star of day It all speaks to this young girl It all speaks to this young girl of love Why yes that is the prettiest song, the song that Olympia sings All that sings and resounds Which sighs, and breaths, in turn Moves her heart as its beating Moves her heart as its beating of love Why yes that is the loveliest song, the song that Olympia sings |
