This is an example of the McCollough effect. After staring at the second image, you should notice that when you look back at the first image, the white spaces between the black lines appear to be pale pink and pale green but the colour of the horizontal lines are green and the vertical lines are pink, the opposite way around to how they appear in the second image.

Oh I forgot to say, once you have conditioned your brain by staring at the second image, the effect will last for upto 3months and can't be undone.

The longer you stare at the second image, the more pronounced the colours will appear in the first image and the longer the effect will last.

Apparently it will usually wear off after a few hours but can last for as long as 3-4months if you've stared at the conditioning images for a long time.
