Here in Australia our PM handed out money to people on the bottom rung of society, no austerity measures at all were imposed. Guess what? We weathered the Engineered 'GFC' quite fine thankyou very much. Those people went out and spent that money, it helped the economy stay afloat. Why do you think it worked out that way? That PM was soon stabbed in the back and replaced, I wonder if it was because he set a very dangerous precedent. |
