Burgers/meatballs? Cottage/Shepherds pie? Spag bol? Lasagne? Meatloaf? Plenty of good stuff that's made with minced meat. Unless your talking about the type of fruity 'mincemeat' in a mince pie?

@ obi_jon - 28.03.24 - 01:54pm I love Scampi. What do you call a shrimp? In the UK a shrimp is a small prawn. Proper Scampi is made with Langoustine(think you call them Dublin Bay Prawns over in the states) tails, they used to use chopped up pieces of monkfish tail because it was cheaper but now it's one of the most expensive fish that you can buy, so nowadays they often just use a whole medium sized prawn instead, as Langoustines aren't exactly cheap these days either. I know they differentiate them from being salt and fresh water. Usually I can tell the diff in the taste, shell feature and appearance when theyre whole. In typical American dishes , its usually shrimp- which I know by taste. |
