No mate, that was no purposeful Spoonerism on your part. However i spotted it and de-spoonerised it. You are quickly moving up to second place on the ometer..digits has held the top spot for several months now..a couple of more daft posts by you and you could hold the number 1 spot by Christmas! |

i was and still am pretty good at maths, i started to lose interest when we got to algebra. Its been 40 years since i left school and have never used algebra once, im pretty certain i can reach the magic 50 year mark, without using it without to much hassle. I'm pretty good and fast at mental arithmatic, i can add, subtract, divide and multiply in my head faster than using a calculator

I used to be able to add or subtract 10 12 or 14 digit numbers in my head, it would take me a couple minutes as you have remember what you've done and then add the latest changes and then remember that too. not a chance in hell of that now. |

@ ogdenz - 9.10.21 - 05:39pm ..did you struggle with at school? Was it too difficult for you to get to grips with or did you just have no interest in it? All of them. I was a failure back in school. Even teachers showed zero confidence in me. Today, parents tell their kids to grow up to become like me. Schools sometime really are zero predictors as to who becomes successful. I genuinely remember it as an oppressive environment with barely any room for creativity. Maybe things are different now. |

But again, I don't intend to put down schools or students who achieve good grades in school. Heck a girl 2 years my senior earns almost 70k hkd more than me as a solicitor, and she was really a high achiever in school. So kids, do work hard in school, it really pays.

History, no interest whatsoever. Too much to remember and what for really? To learn from past mistakes? People will do whatever the fu*k they want anyway. Oh and french, just didn't make any sense to me.

I digged History, even though I was just short of a distinction. (79 percent) Got 5 in total. I used to memorise history essays in my head the night before the major tests/ examinations. My essays were so good even the teacher used to use them to help the others. Which I didn't approve of lol |

My school years were so fu*ked up, it's a miracle I was able to learn anything. Absolutely hated geography, and the teacher. And my brain just couldn't understand science. I loved English, woodwork, sewing and home economics. And kinda liked biology too, but was too much of a rebel sl*tto be bothered to learn anything. I managed to pass though, fu*k knows how.
