For me it was geography..couldn't see the point in learning about how sand dunes are formed. Also metal work...I'm hardly ever going to need to shoe a horse now am I?

I did pretty good in school. Was very good at physical education and geography. English too. Didn't like biology.

Mathematics was pretty difficult in last two years of high school and, so, dropped it first term of last year of high school, took the lesser 'Mathematical Literacy' instead. Got Digni cu m Laude at 97 percent. Next year 'Part-time extra-curricular' subjects of Mathematics Proper (75 percent) and Physics (87 percent). With those two, got in for BSc Pharmacy but dropped out before it even started. Two weeks of initiation in a language not of my understanding. they ended initiation later on. Now English is the main medium of teaching in most Universities. Would've stuck with it if everyone was speaking English instead. (I grew up in an English enclave so not really that fluent in any other official language). |
