I just hope european countries are smart enough not letting China build us plants and later control our power also.

The issue is bigger than it looks, and makes me wonder wtf is going on. It's one thing for my bill today to be higher than it was 10yrs ago. Well of course it is. You could say 50 percent higher would be okay. Thing is, 10yrs ago i had 13 down-lighters in my living room alone. 9 in formation, plus one in each corner. They were 50w each. That's 650 watts. Now, my entire flat is illuminated by LED's adding up to just one down-lighter. Only half are ever on. At half running time, the lighting i used 10yrs ago was 26x as much electricity as i use today - and that's not including the rest of the house! We were using 30+x the power on lighting alone. So add 50 percent to that bill. Now multiply by 30. Am i paying that 30th?! Nope. I'm paying over 30x more, because the bill isn't less. At all. How can the price of electricity have gone up over 30x in ten years? How it now be more expensive to run one LED than a handful of floodlights? That is the reality of the shit we're in. I can only conclude that they have no idea of how much we use, so you may as well use what you like. |

It's not that they have no idea,it's that they don't care. Be that the government or the electricity companies.

@9362 | 29 January 22 | |
They are currently making a loss on the electricity they supply due to the price cap

So when they were making vast profits did they care about those folk struggling or those that froze to death ? I'm talking in general. If they cared nobody would freeze to death every year.
