On a positive note ppl are experimenting with ai systems in video games. They are basically collecting information allover the game world and can have discussions with the player. It is a bit slow now to respond but this will make games much more realistic. No more hassle with voice actors running thousands of lines. Will have endless conversations instead of a few scripted lines.

AI will be the last thing we as humans invent... N everyone who thinks we have a few problems coming is absolutely correct.. I've heard that AI will see humans as we see ants, unintelligent and irrelevant. I got news for you guys, honestly I suspect AI will look at humans the way we look at dust...

Oh n on a bit of a philosophical tangent, just curious if you think AI or well the current popular LLM models are capable of more than human intelligence. Point being that if it's trained on everything we've ever posted on the internet, is it honestly capable of generating something that's never been posted or commented about etc...

I've watched a few videos about this, it looks like NPCs equipped with AI''personalities'' are set to become the new normal before too long. I guess this means we can add all those f.right 4chan NPC memes to the growing list of things AI will make redundant. |
