It's not a problem in chat, where you have to shorten everything so much that it doesn't make the sense you intended, and therefore it can easily be read incorrectly... But some people just can't write very well even when they have plenty of room such as Facebook where they'll explain something in great detail and you're sat there going blue whilst reading it with the belief that there'll be a full stop or even just a comma soon but it just goes on and you can't even see from the start that it's a huge wall of text because Facebook only shows a section of it before you have to click on 'see more' before you realise how much more there is to read and by that time you're too involved to just stop reading. |

Prison sentences, now that would be a different story. They should always be kept as short as possible, if they can't be avoided.
