Think again. Through a secret program code-named DROPOUTJEEP, the National Security Agency (NSA) has nearly total access to the Apple iPhone, according to documents from security research Jacob Appelbaum and Der Spiegel. A leaked NSA document, posted by tech news site The Daily Dot, describes a software implant for the Apple iPhone that can be used to gather information from the phone: It can turn on the microphone and camera, intercept text messages, creep through a contact list and more. Either [the NSA] have a huge collection of exploits that work against Apple products, meaning they are h*arding information about critical systems that American companies produce, and sabotaging them, or Apple sabotaged it themselves, Appelbaum said at the Chaos Communication Conference in Hamburg, Germany on Monday, Dec. 30. The software reportedly has a 100-percent success rate against iPhones, the Daily Dot reported. The document says the spyware must be installed via close access methods, but states that remote installation of the software will be pursued for a future release. The document is dated Jan. 8, 2010, and is set to be declassified in 2032. Previous leaked documents published by Der Spiegel revealed how the NSA is able to hack into Blackberry and Android devices as well. |

Absolute cr*p info. Do you have any link to support this claim? NSA struggled to crack iOS encryption and had asked Apple to give them a back door access which Apple denied. Nevertheless, a normal citizen shouldn't have such things on his phone anyway that they would like to hide from the authorities.

It was first published on Dear Spiegel, but here is the Fox News link that I copy and pasted from. http://technology.foxnews.mobi/quickPage.html?page=43890external=2475286.proteus.fma This proves you are just another Apple sycophant that believes in the Big Lie.

Even if it is true it'll not just be the Apple iPhone that's exploited, all smart phones/devices will be more than capable of information collection but at the end of the day if you've nothing to hide let them snoop all they want...

Pathetic and pitiful spring to mind?....anyway the whole spying on the public is as old as society itself,I suppose your going to tell us that this is just another plan to bring in their Agenda 21 proposals?....if they are watching us then there's not much that we can do unless your wanting to dumb down modern technology totally.Soon our kids will be implanted with RFID chips at birth and tracked no matter what device they or their family's own....it's a one way street we're traveling on I'm afraid to say and I'm not saying I agree with their policy for a one work govermant but unless ev
