they always say get acoustic first to play alot of them like 9 basic chords, my guitar teacher said u will find it hard to get chords to ring on acoustic, master that then come to eletric it will be very easy. its like acoustic is good for strengthning fingers.

What type of guitar do we get.? I hear there r many choices, classic, jazz, nylon, steel, whch one do I get if want to play soul or d guitar sound like that of Plain White T's.? And does a blaq guitar really mellow sound.?

You can learn on electric or acoustic. I learned on electric and it works fine

I learnt on a classical guitar. Because i was used to the wide string spacing, it took me a while to get used to the heaps smaller spacing on electric n acoustic. Whatever u start off with, is up to you. If its acoustic, grab a cheap epiphone or takamine
