Firstly, balearic electronica is your term not mine - read back. Secondly, read this:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balearic_beat Although it isn't the most comprehensive entry on Wiki, it will give you an idea. Thirdly, you could join my group and download a Channel 4 documentary from 1990 which will give you a much better idea. Balearic is difficult to explain. It's an attitude, a vibe, a feeling

Some of the best known balearic tracks from days gone by are not house or dance tracks, but they still work in a club environment and when played to the right crowd. They still work at home and they still evoke fantastic memories. Notable classics that aren't dance orientated include: The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary, Sister Sledge - Lost in Music, Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight (Extended Mix)

Chris Rea - Josephine, Giorgio Moroder - Chase (from the film Midnight Express), Talk Talk - Life's What You Make It, Illusion - Imagination, Donna Summer - I Feel Love. If you are familiar with all of these tracks then you will surely notice how diverse they are. I can't think of a more diverse or eclectic music genre than balearic beats.
