I know that stock aitken and waterman wasn't a record label. I also know that they had i studio which they called the hit factory, apparently they called it something else but the s fell off the sign. My point is that A lot of 80's pop tunes use synthesisers to replicate real instruments and it sounds fake. If you want to make a sound like an instrument, use that instrument.

That's true gafro, and synth design had come a long way since then. Brass sounds are still cr*p, but other sounds like strings and plucks are pretty good and realistic. The 80s were pretty cr*p for music tho, but I guess that was the decade that gave us the shell suit! Lmao
