I agree with pw...simply because Joe Lyn Turner is the lead vocals on it, it has more of the Rainbow sound to it. If u love that, u must pick up the 'Akira Jajiyama + Joe Lyn Turner' Disc...Just as brilliant

''by far the best album they ever made''...Calm down, this album is good but not their best of course. More soft and melodic, it has a Rainbow flavour. But DP never released a cr*p album, this band as i have said million times is One Of A Kind in Rock genre. I have seen this line up live (with Blackmore/Turner) back in 1991.

This is true too, even though im still more of a Rainbow man, Deep Purples Perfect Strangers was the Kick as* of all Lp's...But, it has been written, that Turner is the better Vocalist. Gillans best solo,'Tool Box', for my ears anyway.

Well it is tho isnt it.sleves an masters 1990,perfect stanger 1984-thats the best of deep purple.i can mention songs that are great from individual albums but not a whole previos album as good as the above two
