but if i had to choose between those 2, i'd say beethoven. Amazing 9 symphonies plus great piano sonatas by beethoven. Mozart had the upperhand when it came to piano concertos, considering beethoven composed rubish in that genre.

Its a bit like comparing the Stones to the Beatles and just like I prefer the Stones, I would say I prefer Beethoven. The Magic Flute is a sublime piece of music though.
