Jumpstyle stems from hard house which was born in chicago in the late 80s/90s. Think about it, chicago house and detroit techno in the 80s combined with electro rock helped the acid scene which gave birth to the trance scene. Its mad because chicago gave birth to the house era, it moved to northern uk but never fully expanded in america. New york loft parties are popular but

......have you ever seen americans dancing to trance? They cant. Only a few like trance. There's only several big american trance dj's but house has ya danny rampling, todd terry, van heldan etc. In all fairness, brits like jumpstyle more because we are a nation unafraid to try new things, no matter how cr*p. But i know for a fact, we are one of the biggest lovers of dance culture, especially hard
