Is the title of the new Pink Floyd album, their 15th studio album and the first one in 20yrs. It will be released on the 10th November and is described as an ambient piece featuring music originally recorded in 1992-94 during sessions for the band's previous album The Division Bell, revised and reworked by the remaining band members in 2012-13. It will include posthumous performance by original band member and keyboard player Rick Wright who died in 2008. |

was very disappointed, but truth is it was a respectful last album, Pink Floyd may be gone, but they will live on forever and ever in our hearts.

I got this as a (requested) Christmas present, and I really like it - I wish they'd started putting out this sort of album years ago; then I wouldn't have lost interest. Once you've lost the viciously spat consonants that Waters excelled at, Gilmour's vocal, whilst perfectly pleasant, isn't really enough. This is a largely instrumental album and has more in common with Vangelis's Blade Runner soundtrack than the standard Floyd model whilst still being instantly recognisably Floydian. Nice. |
