A newly recruited hangman in Sri Lanka has resigned in shock after being shown the gallows for the first time.The country has not carried out a judicial execution since 1976 but has over 400 prisoners on death row. The last permanent hangman had also said the gallows made him nervous, and he felt he was lucky only to have done clerical work despite his job title.Maybe they should have advertised the vacancy in Gen Forum |

some say what of the 1 in 10/20 or whatever who is wrongly convicted? I feel what about the 9/19 out of 10/20 who are fked up and will do more damage as soon as they can? What is the greater collateral damage? Nothing's perfect.
