@ obsidian21 - 5.06.14 - 05:27am OK so I went to Google about Gaeul, the penis fish that Obi posted abt in my other topic. Looking for info and pictures I came across an article where the writer described a Korean restaurant, where they served living food, such as living octopus and the said penis fish. They even described how the octopus sucks on the plate and your tongue. I don't think I could eat living food. How abt you? Only in a survival situation. |

i know we kill animals to eat but at least we dont eat them alive. eating animals alive is both gross and ruthless.

Yes, just the other day I was watching something on tv and a couple went to some Asian type restaurant and ate moving thingies. I think I'd try it.

@ obi_jon - 5.06.14 - 10:11am Live or freshly killed food is quite common in Asian cuisine, especially China, Japan and Korea. I was once told of a Chinese dish thats name translates as '3 squeaks', which involves eating live, newborn baby mice or rats, can't remember which. Apparently they squeak once when you clamp them in your chopsticks, once when you dip them in chilli sauce and a third and final time when you pop them in your mouth and chew. I find myself sincerely hoping that this is one of those urban myths but I wouldn't put anything past the chinese, they will eat pretty much anything. Holy s**t |
