I'm not sure if this is still true but it certainly used to be the case that not paying for your water in England was NOT a crime.

Years ago I saw a guy from the water board on TV,he was discussing the law that all new build houses were to have a water meter installed. He said water meters will reduce bills for the majority of people. I remember thinking What company would install meters that mean the company would make less profits? Try taking that idea onto Dragons Den! Hello dragons,I'm here to ask you to pay for something that will result in you making less profit!

Yes, even thou jamaica is d land of wood n water. Ere in d city, i also pay sewage charge whic is 100 of d water tht i'm metered for( thus if i get metered for 2000, my bill will be 4000. In the rural area, we jus pay a minimal flat rate via d council..

I'm not sure if its classed as a criminal offence but it is compulsory to pay or you end up in court same as council tax, gas and electricity and tv licence. |

In an ideal future world there will be abundant resources for everyone. If technological advancements allow such things, clean water for everyone freely available.. What is wrong with that?
