If they are willing to listen, I will show them all the shelters and churches where they can sleep or eat. Only the lazy go without food or shelter in downtown Tulsa.

Ah the shelters, where they can be conveniently robbed or abused by fellow homeless people.

not my place to preach to them... if i got extra i will give, it isn't makin me any poorer. besides, not one of us kno what our tomorrows hold.

many churches and shelters treat the homeless terribly, some even send them out to beg, or they are used to work day nd night for a meal... which is ok lettin ppl do their share, but not to the point where they are used as cheap labour and can't get out coz they can't go find another decent payin job, there are also cases of sexual abuse etc. not every haven is a true haven.

I give them free train tickets out of town...

yup.... and we have take out insurances, do what we can to secure our futures, but in reality there are no real guarantees.

I give them change, sometimes I buy something to eat or juice from the supermarket. I hope it makes them happy.

it soesn't matter to me who is real nd who pretends, if i have, i give, i am losin nothin... so if they are scammers or whatever, it doesn't really affect me personally. i would rather give 6 ppl money and 5 are scammers and 1 is real, than give none and help not one. that is just how i feel abt it anyway.
