@ mok214 - 23.02.15 - 08:26am Yep, does the Oklahoma City Federal Building bombing sound familiar? I witnessed the explosion from a freeway as I was driving by. Brian Williams riding shotgun with Bill O'Reilly in the back. |

@ tranie - 24.02.15 - 08:11am i was caught up in the london bombings july 05. I was a bus driver at the time. I was about 200 yards away from the bus that got blown up. I heard a loud bang and a cloud of smoke. About 2 mins later i started seeing people walking round covered in blood and with bits hanging off them. A copper comes up to me and asks if i would take some of the injured to the hospital, he loaded 20 or 30 injured people onto my bus and i drove to the hospital. it then took me 7 hours to drive the 6 miles back to the garage. Its not a day i can forget, i still have nightmares about it now I wasn't very far from you tranie, I was in a truck in Gower street, less than 1/2 a mile from tavistock square...didn't see or hear anything but saw a a lot of shocked and distressed people heading from that direction... traffic very quickly became gridlocked, took 2hrs to get to my delivery, in Tottenham court road, my employer told me to park up and wait for instructions, took 4 hrs to get to scratchwood services... |

The oil refinery explosion in Hemel Hempstead was a corker. It was felt in towns 30 miles away, i felt and heard it in Milton Keynes. I don't know how the town survived. I remember seeing pictures of a housing estate with no windows, and a burnt out car on its roof on a country road in the middle of nowhere. Thousands and thousands of litres of petrol.. and a mushroom cloud covering half the county. Someone had a hard day at the office.. |
