I remember the good days when you could drive with a phone in one hand and texting, while holding a half rolled cigarette in the other.

@ dan27notts - 3.12.17 - 03:12pm Can anyone else when you had to pay 10p to recieve a text aswell as send? Or have i just imagined that? I seem to remember in the early days of PAYG, people had to pay to receive them. I don't think they could send them either, but I could be wrong. |

@ dan27notts - 3.12.17 - 03:12pm Can anyone else when you had to pay 10p to recieve a text aswell as send? Or have i just imagined that? Most people had to pay to receive an answerphone message. I didn't, because I was on one2one. My evenings and weekends were free, but any other time it cost about a pound before anyone the other end was even able to hear a full sentence. |

I remember when texts were free, then Vodafone started charging 3p for them but it didn't bother me as I didn't text anyone funny how things don't change isn't it. This was in about 1997. Reminiscence over.

It took them years to figure out how to recall a message that you mistakingly sent, think WhatsApp does it but not sure what else.
