The Queen's accent, as well as Boris Johnson, David Cameron, Teresa May is NOT RP... Freddie Mercury's, however, IS RP. It is very rare to find native RP speakers originating within UK.. instead perfect RP speakers are usually educated abroad. Ironically, RP speakers are somewhat seen as not from GB but abroad within UK. Bring on BBC World News |

@ 3mel - 7.05.21 - 12:47am day in the life Suud Efrica edition I don't understand where people come with the 'Efrika' in South Africa. Must be some other area, maybe Cape Town or something. And there's this http://youtube.com/watch?v=NY09gs-LY80 that is not first language speakers. Maybe some cricketer speak like that as it's 'cool' or something. |

The cricketers do have a weird accent, coming to think of it only AB De Villiers is most normal of the lot. Booo-ys this, Booo-ys that. Never hear that anywhere else. |

You see our English voiceover commentary for PSL (Premier Soccer League) that's how people in my area speak, Alanball follows that. Very close to Received Pronunciation.
