@ alanball - 21.03.22 - 07:53pm You probably didn't understand the tone of my reply. What I was alluding to is its the people that are losing their jobs in Russia, the people that have lost their live savings over night, people that can no longer afford their mortgages, the disabled sports men and women that couldn't take part of the winter Olympics in China etc etc that the west are punishing. But Zelensky is whiter than white The difference being, Zelensky can do nothing to stop Putin from bombing and killing innocent Ukrainians, but Putin can stop the actions which brought the sanctions causing financial pain(not death and destruction) to ordinary Russians. Found a good article explaining the whole issue with the Azov lot and other RW nationalist groups in Ukraine, why it has been necessary for Zelensky in the defence of Ukraine and the potential dangers of legitimizing them. I think it would be fair to say it's quite complicated. https |

Meanwhile, meet one of the latest victims of Putin's alleged 'denazification' of Ukraine. A Ukrainian man who survived the Holocaust during World War Two has been killed during a Russian attack on the eastern city of Kharkiv. Boris Romantschenko, 96, who survived the Nazi concentration camp at Buchenwald, died during Russian shelling of his apartment block on Friday, relatives said. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-60826303 |

I'm surprised they didn't blame it on covid. Russian shelling must be the new covid, I guess. |

Putin does nothing to stop the activities of extreme right-wing neo-nazi groups and organisations inside Russia, there are at least 10 such groups that are known about, plus who knows how many others that aren't as well known, or are much more secretive/hidden.

@ obi_jon - 12.03.22 - 12:01pm Can you imagine being the General who had to tell Putin that his tanks had been stolen by some farmers? Or worse, being the one who told him that their army could defeat Ukraine in under a week, as leaked russian communications have shown was their original plan. http://thehill.com/opinion/national-security/598799-the-heads-begin-to-roll-in-russia |
