Granted, everyday should be a day where humanity continues to raise awareness and recognize that mental health is important and it exists. Mental health challenges are not necessarily ones youre born with, often times they too develop. So Im imploring you all to take care of your mental health just like you take care of your physical health. It is not always something to can readily see or detect. Know that others exist that are different and may need a bit more support and attention in handling certain circumstances that may be taken for granted by typical mentally healthy people. Share awareness. This comes from the human services professional in me. |

Well maybe being fashionable means people are more aware and are actually getting diagnosed, as well as the help they need, rather than strutting around pretending theyre all good when theyre really not.

Knowledge is power, had they the knowledge to see otherwise, it wouldnt be a practice. Therefore the ones who have access to be enlighten should. That act of prayer and casting out demons in those countries are no different from first world countries saying its fashionable or ppl can just smile and be happy etc. Theyre both the same, ignorant. |

Nobody can really do anything about someone's mental health but themselves, mental health changes, and nobody is in the same position. There is no single perfect model of sanity. The message of awareness is all very well but everyone has their own preferences, expectations, tolerances. You can try and influence people but that's still only your influence, your personality, your choices. |

Though these are also see over the news. In one continent it may be one thing, in another its another thing. Sri Lanka and Lithuania are topping the charts with suicide rates. Not all are definitely link to mental illness, but majority. |

It's not just in third world countries though is it There are plenty of hardcore godheads in your country(and mine) who believe they can just pray people's problems away. |
