Comet NEOWISE is now a naked eye object for observers in the northern hemisphere. After surviving it's closest approach to the sun on July 3rd, it has now swung back round the other side and has been slowly brightening over the last week. It can be seen low down in the sky, rising just above the eastern horizon about two hours before sunrise.

I still haven't seen Comet NEOWISE due to cloudy weather but it should now be visible in the evening sky, approx an hour or two after sunset, as it rises over the NW horizon. NEOWISE is now the brightest and most easily visible comet since Halle-Bopp back in 1997. |

Was perfectly clear last night. I didn't see the new comet. However, Jupiter is quite bright and is accompanied by Saturn.
