I saw the fire in critical's video and it looked like it was leaning. the guy doing their voice-over was calling it a complete success and then the video ended.

Yeah, it had touched down safely but then a fire broke out whilst it was on the landing pad and it went boom about 8mins after landing.

Large quantities of water stuck in clay/mineral deposits on Mars. Basically, the lack of volcanism on Mars means that water didn't get recirculated back into the atmosphere like it did here on Earth.
