@ cerberus611 - 22.08.19 - 07:24pm The cheek at wanting to drain the Amazon and clear the forested land for agricultural, livestock and mining use. And people wonder why the natural world is changing.. You build a power plant, you need new forested land to balance or negate the effect on the environment, but environment is fu*ked in the vicinity just by building that. There is a direct causal link here, between Trump's Chinese trade tariffs which have led to a decreased demand for Soy beans grown by US farmers, who can no longer sell their produce because the price has collapsed and it now costs them more to produce than they can actually sell it for. With US soybeans effectively off the international market there has been an increase in soy production in other countries, most notably Brazil, where farmers have rushed(and been encouraged by Bolsanaro's stripping of environmental protections) to try and fill that gap in the supply chain by burning down large swathes of rainforest in order to plant more fields of soy beans. |

Indeed. I read that a week or so ago. She definitely posed for that picture and appeared to be sending a rather less than cryptic message with the book she had on the table with her, 'The Book of Honor: The Secret Lives and Deaths of CIA Operatives'.

So now Brazil gets increased economic activity. Good for them. |

@ phallica - 23.08.19 - 10:54pm How many tumours does it take to kill Ruth Bader Ginsberg, honestly. Just imagine the next level unreleased drugs she probably has access to. That's the only way she's plodding along. |

So Trump now wants to give suicidal veterans a derivative of Ketamin, saying he has instructed the VA to buy 'lots and lots of it'. http://www.indy100.com/article/trump-veterans-suicide-stimulants-ketamine-ptsd-9074571 |
