@ 9362 - 11.04.21 - 12:47pm Salford? I suppose it depends on how the 'largest' is being defined. In terms of area Salford is slightly larger but Plymouth has nearly double the population of Salford. |

Thoughts on the plans announced yesterday by the big English, Spanish and Italian football teams that they want to form a breakaway European Super League? And the response from the FA, UEFA, the Premier League and many others, including threatening to expel those clubs from their respective domestic competions and even ban the club's players from representing their national teams?

And the response from the FA, UEFA, the Premier League and many others, including threatening to expel those clubs from their respective domestic competions and even ban the club's players from representing their national teams? The 12 teams who plan to join the new league are: AC Milan, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur. Greedy bastards the lot of 'em. |

@ ementalm - 19.04.21 - 01:20pm mourinho sacked Lol. Rumour is he was sacked because he disagrees with the club's decision to join the planned Super League and was planning on refusing to take the players out onto the training pitch in protest. |

Greedy bastards the lot of 'em. Tottenham haven't won anything in years, have never won the Premier League and the last time they won the old Division 1 league title was in 1961, so they certainly haven't earned their place on merit. |

To their credit, German giants Bayern Munich and Borrussia Dortmund refused to join up to it.

Good for them. Why be handcuffed by the FIFA and UEFA cartels. If the domestic leagues ban them they should say good riddance to them and expand the ESL to a full league format. What is the PL going to do, kick City and United out? As if anyone cares about watching Everton vs Fulham every weekend.
