If Sir Bryan wants to sponsor/pay for some white kids, all he has to do is follow Stormzy's example of how to do it correctly. The schools cannot and quite rightly refuse to accept the race based pre-conditions he has placed on the distribution of the money he has offered them. Sir Bryan can help who he wants to help, he just can't demand that the school enforces his desired restrictions on the race of the pupils he wants to help. |

You getting it yet? |

Basically he can help as many white kids as he wants to but he can't place the school in the legal position where they are the ones who would effectively be discriminating 'on the basis of race'.

@ obi_jon - 1.01.20 - 08:52am Basically he can help as many white kids as he wants to but he can't place the school in the legal position where they are the ones who would effectively be discriminating 'on the basis of race'. Conversely, Stormzy is free to help as many black kids as he wants and indeed does do, which he does without asking/requiring the schools to discriminate against anyone. I commend both for wanting to help people less fortunate than themselves but only one of them has so far actually succeeded in doing so. I guess it might have been better if neither of them had attached any racial conditions to their benevolent ventures but I don't see that there'd be anything wrong if Sir Bryan were to set up a fund to help poor white kids. Perhaps he could ring Stormzy or one of the other groups shown above for some advice on how to do that effectively?! |

@ 1bad_boy - 1.01.20 - 08:32am You getting it yet? I get it perfectly but unfortunately you are providing wonderful examples of what I am suggesting rather than backing up your own point. Idiot. |

@ 9362 - 31.12.19 - 02:59pm Offered to pay for scholarships for poor disadvantaged white boys to top private schools Winchester and Dulwich. They rejected it saying the ethnicity of recipients should not be a factor in receiving it. Stormzy did a similar thing a few months ago for black kids. Thought it was great and I applaud him for it. But why is it OK for Stormzy to it and not Sir Bryan. Think it's stupid that the schools have rejected this it is not ok but then we live in a country that allows adverts for jobs and homes that say no whites so this is hardly surprising |
